Justice S.M. Shuaibu of the Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna, on Friday, June 28, 2019 ordered the final forfeiture of the sum of N49,000,000 (Forty Nine Million Naira) to the Federal Government of Nigeria. The money was intercepted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Kaduna Zonal Office, on March 14, 2017 at the Kaduna International Airport. The money, all mint, stashed in five large 150 kilogramme coloured sacks, was intercepted by EFCC Operatives following an intelligence report received by the zone. The final forfeiture order followed a motion on notice brought by the EFCC through prosecution counsels, Joshua Saidi and Onyeka Ekweozor. After obtaining an interim forfeiture order, some persons showed up and claimed to be the owners of the abandoned money. They further filed a counter affidavit against the Commission's motion for the final forfeiture in suit No: FHC/KD/CS/32/17 between Oyebanji Olaitan Steve & others Vs EFCC. Wife of singer, Timi Dakolo, Busola, has accused controversial clergyman and founder of the CommonWealth of Zion  Assembly COZA, Biodun Fatoyinbo, of sexually assaulting her when she was much younger. Speaking during an explosive Y TV interview with Chude Jideonwo, the founder of Joy Inc, Busola, a photographer and a mother of three, recounted how the clergyman who has been embroiled in a number of sexual assault related cases, Ese Walter being the most prominent, allegedly raped her in her mother's house while she was still in secondary school. However a different twist came to the story of why  Wizkid  came to Lagos yesterday when he posted on his Instagram story this morning that he just closed the biggest deal in Africa. Days after Nigerian rapper, Ruggedman was   assaulted by unknown persons   in London, the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) has written to the Nigerian High Commision demanding a proper investigation into the assault. The letter signed by the association president, Pretty Okafor, partly reads, ' the case is currently with the Metropolitan police in London with reference number 3019340/19. A new report by US based financial data media house, Bloomberg, says former Minister of Defence, Lt.Gen Theophilus Danjuma (retd.), is worth an estimated $1.2bn (N432bn).   This is the first time Danjuma’s net worth would be made public. Danjuma was mentioned in the Panama Papers in 2017 among prominent Nigerians that operated foreign accounts and had foreign companies while holding public office.   The retired general was also among global personalities found to maintain secret accounts, operated with codes, with the Swiss branch of banking giant, HSBC.   According to Bloomberg’s latest report, Danjuma owns not less than 30 properties worldwide some of which include hotels, luxury apartments and others. Bloomberg said in a report that Danjuma had also acquired the ‘Kings Arms Hotel’,  a 300-year-old inn next to London’s Hampton Court Palace, once the home of King Henry VIII.  It’s set to open soon after refurbishment, with rooms costing about 250 pounds ($318) a night.
