BIOGRAPHY: Didam Iliya Ajeye (D.I.A)

Meet Didam Iliya Ajeye popularly known as Uncle DIA.

He is Atyab by tribe from Kaduna state in Nigeria.

He is not married.

He is a graduate of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
DIA is a rapper and a producer.

He began rapping since 2003 but officially dropped his first single in 2010 and vegan producing in 2014.
Music has been a major part of his life since childhood, his parents are music lovers and being surrounded by music most of the time, it had an effect on him, hence he became an enthusiast.

He initially started off as a poet before eventually delved into rap because he needed to add melody to the thoughts he penned down.

What propelled him to go into production (beat making) was the fact he needed to create his own sound which was often difficult to explain to producers.

He was inspired by Kanye West.

DIA has over a hundred songs (released and unreleased).

He has 2 mixtapes and 1 EP and has been featured on over 30 songs.

Motivating and inspiring people in and outside of Nigeria through his music is a big feat considering where and how he began music.
IN HIS WORDS, "I make conscious music and if I'm able to reach out and positively awaken the consciousness of one person every time my song comes on, it is more than just an achievement for me. It's a big win and that's the situation of things right now".

Quote - #ItsAGoodDayToBeAlive and everyday above ground level is an opportunity for us to be better than we were yesterday.
